Accessible Foyer, BO Desk, Stalls, and Main Bar

The entrance from the Main Door is at street level and features no steps. As you enter, to your left we have the Box Office desk where you’re able to purchase tickets and gather general information. Within the corridor to your left, you will find an accessible toilet that does not require a radar key and gender neutral baby changing facilities. Men’s toilets are further down this corridor and Ladies are to the right of the Main Doors. The auditorium itself is straight ahead, through the double doors and holds the seating area, stage and the main bar

The Albert Room

The Albert Room is a smaller space towards the left hand side of the venue that has gendered facilities, ramp access and a bar. There is no Accessible toilet within this space, however a wheelchair lift is available towards the far end of the space that will link to the corridor featuring the Accessible toilet. This will also provide access to the stalls level of the auditorium and the Main Bar.

Accessible Toilet & Baby Change Facilities

We have an accessible toilet located down the main corridor; this is a gender-neutral toilet with baby-changing facilities and does not require a radar key to access.

Ear Defenders

We suggest customers bring their own ear defenders or similar products if they are aware that they, or someone in their party, are easily audibly over-stimulated. However, we also have a small number of ear defenders available to borrow in-house, they cannot be reserved but will be available at every event on a first-come first-serve basis. Please be aware these are not available for purchase. Please ask the Box Office or Theatre Manager for assistance.

BSL Interpreter

For some events, we may be able to provide a British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter. The interpreter helps facilitate communication between the performers and our deaf, hard-of-hearing, or BSL-using audience members. The interpreter typically stands at the side or front of the stage, delivering the script in real time for BSL users. For more information, please contact the Box Office at 01282 661234.

Relaxed Performances

For some events, we offer Relaxed Performances, designed to provide a more comfortable and accessible experience for those who prefer a more laid-back environment. Each relaxed performance may vary slightly depending on the show. Some examples of what to expect are: auditorium lights will stay on, sound levels will be lowered, and any pyrotechnics will be reduced or eliminated. In addition, the usual expectations of silence and stillness in the audience are relaxed, allowing for more freedom of various movements and sounds.

Cast Introductions can also be offered for select shows, offering a casual meet-and-greet with the cast to help the audience immerse themselves more deeply and connect with the story. For more information please contact the Box Office at 01282 661234.

Touch Tours

Touch Tours will be available for certain performances offering visually impaired audience members the chance to go on stage and explore key elements of the show, along with major pieces of costumes, scenery and props. This experience allows audience members to fully engage with the creative world brought to life on stage. For more information please contact the Box Office at 01282 661234.

Babes in Arms doesn’t apply to:

  • Performances that aren’t child-friendly.
